Agent access (MCP)
Linkhiver runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so an AI agent can read your page and, on a Pro plan, edit it on your behalf. This works with Claude and with any other MCP-compatible client — it's an open standard, not a Claude-specific integration.
What is agent access?
Once connected, an agent can only call the tools listed below, each scoped to your own account. Every call runs through the same permission checks and database rules the Linkhiver dashboard itself uses, under a token that only you control and can revoke at any time.
Setup
Connecting an agent takes about a minute and needs no password.
Agent access is rolling out gradually, so the Connect option may not appear on every account yet. If you don't see it, email support@linkhiver.com to ask about access.

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose “Add custom connector”.

Enter https://app.linkhiver.com/api/mcp as the server URL and save.

Claude shows a consent screen listing exactly what it's asking to read or change. Sign in to Linkhiver if prompted, review the list, and approve.

The connector is now active. Manage or remove it any time from Settings → Integrations in Linkhiver.
The ten tools
Four read tools are available to every connected account. Six write tools require a Pro plan — see Scopes and permissions below.
Read tools — free
get_profileReads your username, display name, bio, avatar, and verified custom domain.
list_linksReads every link block on your page — title, destination, type, active state, and position — in the order they render.
get_appearanceReads your page's design settings: theme, background, button style, fonts, and header layout.
get_analyticsReads page views and link clicks over a recent window plus your top links; Pro accounts also get device, referrer, and country breakdowns.
Write tools — Pro
create_linkAdds a new link block to your page.
update_linkEdits an existing link's title, destination, or active state.
reorder_linksChanges the display order of your links.
delete_linkRemoves a link from your page.
update_profileEdits your display name, bio, and/or avatar. Never your username.
update_appearanceChanges your page's theme, background, button style, fonts, or header layout.
Scopes and permissions
Reads are free on every plan. Write access — anything that changes your page — requires a Pro plan. A free account can still connect an agent and use all four read tools; asking it to make a change simply isn't possible until you upgrade. Every call is checked against these scopes on our server on every request, not only when you first connect.
Revoking access
Open Settings → Integrations in Linkhiver and select Revoke next to the connected agent. Access is cut off immediately on our side — the agent's next call fails whether or not you close anything on its end — and you can reconnect at any time.
What an agent cannot do
These are deliberate exclusions, not gaps we haven't gotten to yet. A connected agent cannot:
Change your username — the address every QR code, business card, and short link you've shared already points at.
Read your subscriber or lead list.
View or change billing, invoices, or your subscription.
Delete your account.
